VitaLink BIOPAC
A natural bio-stimulant, VitaLink BioPac boosts the results you get from your plants at every stage of their life cycle – rooting, growth and flowering. Originally supplied as a powder, by using a unique brewing process, we now offer VitaLink BioPac as a highly concentrated liquid, making it easy to use. Simply add to your nutrient solution or water and feed to your plants.
VitaLink BioPac, when added to your nutrient solution, establishes a population of beneficial bacteria and fungi within the growing media that converts unavailable nutrients into a form that your plants can easily absorb. In particular, these microbes dissolve Phosphorus and fix Nitrogen, two of the major nutrients your plants require. The microbes also improve the processes that encourage optimum uptake, leading to improved yields and crop quality.
VitaLink BioPac contains several strains of beneficial microbes that promote a healthy root zone with fewer disease causing organisms. These include:
- 37 different beneficial microbes including;
- 12 different species of Trichoderma
- 12 strains of Bacillus bacteria
- Pseudomonas, Actinomycete and Streptomyces bacteria
- 3 types of Mychorrizal fungi
The superior culturing process that is used to breed these beneficial organisms results in one millilitre of BioPac containing over 15 billion organisms! That is double the average microbe count you will find in other dry or liquid beneficial microbe products available. The cultures of microbes contained in VitaLink BioPac have been selected to withstand low concentrations of chlorine and chloramines that are present in most water supplies, meaning you can add VitaLink BioPac straight to your tap water without the risk of a reduction in effectiveness.
The high microbe content ensures bacterial and fungal colonisation of the roots occurs quickly and efficiently, inevitably speeding up root growth which aids in propagation, vegetative and flowering growth. Vita-Link BioPac also contains some powerful growth promoting ingredients including:
These extracts from naturally occurring humates aid in the uptake and transportation of nutrients which help to boost growth rates.
- Cytokinins and Gibberellins
These plant hormones help to promote cell division, enlargement and elongation which stimulate growth in leaves, stems and enhance flowering and fruiting. While most other products obtain these growth promoting hormones from seaweed or synthetic sources, VitaLink BioPac uses hormones extracted from a newly found revolutionary highly concentrated natural and sustainable source; peach stones.
- Micronised Zeolites and Molasses
These key ingredients provide the perfect environment for beneficial microbes to proliferate. Zeolites have a huge surface area, studies have shown that 1 gram of micronized zeolites provides up to 4000 M² of surface area which provides the beneficial microbes with a housing on which they can multiply. The molasses is an organic source of food on which the beneficial microbes can feed and develop. These two ingredients also help to maintain the shelf life of the product.
VitaLink BioPac is excellent at promoting healthy and expansive root systems but is also very effective as a foliar spray. There are a number of beneficial bacteria and fungi within the BioPac that help prevent fungal infections on leaves, stems, fruits and flowers such as leaf spot fungus, powdery mildew, downy mildew and botrytis. BioPac also has some activity against leaf dwelling insects and will assist in the prevention of Spider Mite, Mealy Bug and White Fly attacks. When using as a foliar spray make sure you spray in low light and spray to the upper and underside of the leaves until runoff occurs.
